Toby

This is Toby. I originally made him for ~xJayke's contest, but he's become so much more then that. He's my precious sweetie and I love him so much. <3

Anyway, I know nothing about playing guitar so I don't know what he would be realistically playing, but in my mind he's playing Piazza New York Catcher by Belle and Sebastian (you should listen to it www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzjYRW… ). I listened to this song as well as Tire Swing by Kimya Dawson and the rest of the juno soundtrack. Toby's name actually comes from the lyrics in Tire Swing "and I never met a Toby that I didn't like."

Also, I've been working on drawing folds and can now draw jean and (hopefully) wood texture. Yay! I was going to blend in the pencil and make the background transparent in gimp but I kinda like the roughness and the picture looks better on a white background.

Now for Toby facts!

Age: 17

Appearance: Toby is around 5'8". He has auburn hair that is lighter at the tips and blue eyes. His voice is soft and slightly deep. 

Interests: In his free time,  Toby likes playing guitar, singing, exploring the city, and occasionally making chalk art on the street. 

Personality and backstory: The best word to describe Toby is chill. He is a happy-go-lucky who is ok with just about anything people can dish out at him. Toby is the kind of guy you can punch in the guy and instead of being mad, he'll ask you if you feel any better. However, he is lazy and is very passive. He often apologizes for things that are not his fault.  Toby is usually quiet, not because he is shy but because he is caught up in his own imagination. He likes being alone to daydream or with people, but large crowds make him uncomfortable. He enjoys sitting on street corners to play his guitar and sing,  not for the money but because he enjoys it, furthermore, it gives him an excuse to get away from his family. His family consists of his mother, father, and two brothers.  Though Toby comes from good family and they don't mistreat him, he does not get along with them. His father believes he is too weak and his mother doesn't really notice him. Though they are not mean about it, they do not really support him being gay. He reminds himself that they care for him a lot, but being around them is hard. When in a relationship, Toby is romantic, but not in a grandiose way: he likes doing small things such as putting candy in his boyfriend's pocket  when he's not looking, or leaving love notes for him around his house.
